Melbourne Central YHA is, as its name says very Central on Flinders street, the main street to reach Federation square. The Southern Cross Station is just around the corner and one block up, so in walking distance. Not to forget – all the small laneways with lovely cafes and bars are also just steps away.
We absolutely loved the ground floor next to the reception, where a cozy sitting area with a bar and a kitchen to use invites travelers to take a break.
On the rooftop terrace you’ll find more space to relax or do it as the Aussies – BBQ is waiting to get hot.
Offering dorms and privates on 4 floors, you have plenty of choices. The bathrooms are modern and they also have a bathroom for dissabled (and of course a lift) to welcome everybody.
It’s a very safe hostel, as you can enter only with their card, they have 24 hours reception and a good tour desk. The staff will assist you with a smile and be prepared for some socilaizing – they have pub crawl tours, pizza evenings and more.
It’s definetely a great choice in Melbourne and we’ll come back, hopefully soon 😉
