The Laranjeiras Hostel in Salvador was the first HI Hostel we visited on our trip. It’s very nice and clean, with many beds and a great location.

Staff: speaks some English, the manager Francisco speaks very well
Rooms: dorms for men and women, double bed rooms, triple bed room, double room with shared bathroom
Extras: free wifi, breakfast buffet included, restaurant, computers free to use, small garden, storage room, nice common room with TV, sofas and a hammock, kitchen
