After almost 3 months we’re leaving South America with mixed feelings. On one hand we are sad to leave a continent that offers so much, on the other hand we’re looking forward discovering new continents.
As we already mentioned in our 1 month down article we’re waiting to fall in love with South America? Did we? Almost. We found places where we will definitely return and we really fell in love with the Galapagos islands. We found new friends here, practised Spanish a lot 🙂 (thank God we took classes before coming), ate too much meat, raw fish and drank lots of different beers in every country (Ok, in Argentina we preferred wine).
We tried new things like surfing, sandboarding had close up encounters with wild animals (sea lions, sea turtles, sharks, penguins, sting rays, llamas, alpacas and Simona’s favourite – flamingos), ate dishes we don’t even know names for, we saw a huge glacier for the first time… and so much more.as all (our) good things are 7, here are our favourites in South America (in random order):

- Salar de Uyuni
- Galapagos
- Cartagena
- Iguazu
We are happy we started our adventure here and are certain we’ll come back.
