The train ride from Ella to Kandy was one of our highlights on this trip. Watching the never ending tea plantations passing by, chatting with locals, trying snacks from the vendors … this could be also your experience on this iconic train ride.
Our main reason to come to Kandy was the famous festival Esala Perahera. We loved the acrobatic and dance performances, just the elephants – we felt really sorry for them. 😦
