Expenses overview for Jordan

So, we’re back from Jordan and finally we are able to answer all your questions about the expenses.

We spent 11 nights in Jordan and visited Amman, Jerash, Ajloun castle, Dead sea, Dana reserve, Petra (Wadi Musa), Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Mount Nebo and Madaba.

We used a rental car the entire time, except the first 2 days in Amman.

These are the expenses:
Jordan Pass: 75JD
Taxi from the airport: 25JD
Rent a car: 20JD/day
Hotels: from 20€ to 55€ per night (always with breakfast, private bathroom (except in Wadi Rum and Dana reserve) and Air con (which we needed for heating))
Food: from 6 to 15 JD per meal for 2 with drinks
Wadi Rum tour: 2D/1N with 2x lunch, 1x dinner, 1x breakfast, accommodation and 2 days tour with guide and jeep 125JD per person
Entrance fees: many included in Jordan pass, not included Mount Nebo 2 JD, church in Madaba 1 JD
Diving: 2 dives with equipment 65JD

If I add everything together, we spent 1,350 € in 12 days, or 675€ per person.
Accommodation 372€
Food and snacks 187 €
Tours, entrance fees 313€
Diving 159€
Transportation 235€
Jordan pass 184€

The flight tickets are not included, as the prices vary a lot.

Also keep in mind that we travelled during New Year’s holidays and the Wadi Rum tours were quite full, so we booked the first available, although it was a bit pricey.

We really enjoyed our time there. The country surprised us a lot with all the things you can see and do, the people were nice and the food was excellent.

On our last day we made a “Tips & Tricks for traveling Jordan” Vlog in which we give you some advice about independent traveling around Jordan and we’ll tell you our 5 favorite places.
