It’s almost summer and we are missing the ocean like crazy (this is the downside of living in Austria – no sea side 😦 ). Last summer we didn’t upload all our vlogs, that’s why we are doing this now. And it’s almost like therapy 😉
Anyway – take a look at the pristine bays around Stara Baška on the island of Krk, one of the best kept secrets in Croatia in our opinion. Rent a kayak and paddle from one bay to the next. If you need superb accommodation in Stara Baška, contact our friends at Sunshine Residence Apartments, you can thank us later 😉
Enjoy. ❤ If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. And if you like our videos, please subscribe to our channel 😀
Hi guys! Thank you so much for your unpretentious, informative, non-photoshopped, reality-revealing videos! My fiance and I are doing a few weeks in Croatia (with a couple of bonus days in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina) leaving on Monday from NY and we have found your work so helpful! I’m also a vegetarian and it was nice to hear how dishes could be made vegetarian if necessary.
We are still trying to nail down our itinerary. Any advice for us? After flying into Dubrovnik and spending a few days down there, we are planning to spend time on an island, in/around Split, possibly to Plitvice and some time in Istria as our departing flight leaves from Pula. It seemed like you both loved Korcula. Would Hvar make more sense for a few days exploring, going to the beach etc? We are sort of between these two islands. Also, how important is it to spend time in Split? Did you do Plitvice?
Regardless, thanks again for your contributions, we’ve really enjoyed watching your vlogs!

Hi Noah, hi Steph
thanks so much for your feedback 🙂 We are trying to be real and not embellish it.
Ok, so a few days in Dubrovnik are cool (you can find a vlog!). We loved Korčula as you could see, but on the way to Split is Hvar probably a better option. Maybe compare Hvar and Brač – both are beautiful.
Please stay in Split at least a night and take a look at the old city. It’s really beautiful and the vibe in Split is quite unique, because so many locals live here (not the case in Dubrovnik). We also uploaded a vlog about the Dalmatians cities, including Split.
Plitvice: yes, we visited already twice. It is stunning! Here we also have a vlog and a blog post 😉
In Istria: the region is really popular for truffles so try “fuži s tartufima” – these is a local pasta with a fine truffle sauce. If you like wild beaches, cliffjumping and sea caves, you have to visit Kamenjak, just south of Pula. In Istria don’t miss beautiful Rovinj.
