In Brisbane we choosed Brisbane City YHA as our home for two nights. Because it has great location, it’s great if you’re travelling by bus (walking distance to the main bus station) or arrive by plane, as the airport train stops also at the same place as all buses – so again walking distance.
Nearby are also many cafes, restaurants and places for party animals – look for Caxton street.
We absolutely loved the rooftop pool and terrace, from where you can admire the Brisbane river and part of the skyline. Up there is also a big kitchen and indoor and outdoor dining areas. A lift connects all floors, which are in different themes – amazing and inspiring photo wallpapers make the hostel unique.
Not to forget: they have a great travel desk next to the reception, where tours, bus tickets and a lot more can be booked – I don’t have to mention, they have the best prices in town, right? 🙂
