7 things we learned about Montenegro while driving

7 things we learned about Montenegro while driving that’s why all of them are traffic related

  1. The worst and most careless drivers in the world. Especially watch for drivers of Golf 2 (sorry Montenegrins)
  2. Signs with phone numbers for “auto šlep” (car tow) are everywhere
  3. Tunnels usually don’t have lights
  4. Narrow and extremely winding roads
  5. Police patrols are everywhere (haven’t seen so many police patrols in Austria and Slovenia in a year).
  6. Welcome at the border: “This is not the EU, where is your Green card?”
  7. Extremely low speed limits (to which the locals do not stick to) and zero highways.

7 stvari, ki sva se jih naučila med vožnjo v Črni Gori, zato so vse povezane s prometom

  1. Najslabši in najbolj neprevidni vozniki. Posebej pazite na voznike Golf2 (pardon Črnogorci 🙂 )
  2. Napisi s telefonskimi številkami za “auto šlep” (avtovleka) so povsod.
  3. Tuneli so ponavadi brez luči.
  4. Ozke in izjemno ovinkaste ceste.
  5. Policijske kontrole v vsakem selu (v letu dni nisva v Avstriji in Sloveniji skupaj videla toliko kontrol).
  6. Pozdrav na meji: “To ni EU, kje je zelena karta?”
  7. Izjemno nizke omejitve hitrosti (ki se jih domačini seveda ne držijo) in nič avtocest.
